There may be times when you want to look at the underlying data residing in a Data Source or within a Table you've created in one of your Worksheets. There are a three ways of doing so.
1. Right click on your Data Source and choose [View Data] in the menu.
2. Click the [View Data] icon at the top right of the Dimensions Pane.
3. Mouse hover a cell or group of selected cells in a Table View you've created in the View Area, then click the [View Data] icon in the tooltip.
A window will open showing the data in a grid.
This grid allows QuickFiltering, Aggregate Functions and multicolumn sorting much like the Grid Results for a Query Analyzer.
Any Aggregate Functions, QuickFiltering or sorting performed in the [View Data] window do not affect Visual Analytics Charts or Tables. They take affect strictly in the [View Data] window.
Below is an example QuickFilter in the [View Data] window for the text Martha in all columns, case insensitive and matching the text anywhere.
Below is an example of Aggregate Functions in the [View Data] window, selecting a group of cells.
Multicolumn sorting with [Ascending] then [Descending] on two different columns in the [View Data] window can also be performed.
