During an Operating System crash, most of the available software products in the market exit without giving the user a chance to save their work. Querying for large resultsets may cause applications to run out of memory and eventually shutdown. The result can be severe for critical business initiatives. Users would have quite a few query windows or editors open and have lots of unsaved work. It is very critical for users to save the application state. Keeping this in mind, AquaFold has redesigned the workspace so that the application state will restart with minimal loss of information in the event of a failure. Aqua Data Studio v10.0 has the very useful feature that when it shuts down, it will automatically save the workspace.
---
When Aqua Data Studio is closed, it remembers the size of the application windows, tabs and tab content, and workspace layout that were open at the moment the application has been exited. The workspace is reopened automatically when the application launches the next time. This is the equivalent of a Web Browser remembering which websites were open in which tabs when it is restarted. Saving the Workspace can be enabled and disabled within File -> Options -> General -> Workspace.
