Aqua Data Studio 20.6 adds schema tree support for external databases, external schemas, and external tables. You can now connect to your Amazon Redshift Spectrum external databases, schemas and tables, and work with data that is stored in Amazon S3.
To learn more about External Databases, Schemas, and Tables you can read Schema Browser.
Aqua Data Studio 20.6 provides Snowflake database login support for Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) Single Sign-On (SSO). This ADFS SSO option lets you authenticate with an ADFS identity provider using the Snowflake JDBC and the Snowflake database as the service provider. You will have to configure the Snowflake users and set up the IdP within the Snowflake database before using this feature.
We have added an authentication type drop-down, so you can choose between Snowflake Authentication and SSO Authentication. We also added the Persist SSO Token option for Snowflake in the Options pane. If you check the box, the SSO Token will persist across Aqua Data Studio sessions and you won't be asked for a login every time. The duration of how long the SSO token remains valid is configured within the SSO Provider. Click here to learn more about Snowflake within ADS.
