13. ER Model Enhancements (Revision #109)

Complex Entity-Relationship (ER) Models usually contains hundreds of entities and relationships.  The process of modeling the requirement, manually editing and rearranging each entities into regions can be tedious.  Trying to understand them at a glance is difficult, without specific visual clues for each entity in the model. If there are options to highlight tables and views with different colors, hide relationships as required and resize entities to fit contents, it becomes easier for the Data Modeler to organize the diagram. We have made it easier for the users to understand ER Models in Aqua Data Studio with new enhancements like editable entity colors, Hide relationship lines and Auto-fit entities. The ER Modeler we’ve built into Aqua Data Studio is as powerful as even the best standalone database diagramming tools. Editable Entity Colors and Region Foreground Colors

The color of Table and View Entities can now be set on a per-entity basis by changing it within the Property Appearance tab. Regions now allow their text color to be altered with Foreground color selection.

Auto-Fit Entities

Selected entities can be automatically resized to fit their contents, by using the menu Edit -> Auto-Fit or the keystroke Alt+A

Hide Relationship

New enhancement to hide relationships between entities is introduced

Generate Script

Now there is a statement separator option for "@" just like Schema Script Generator.
