Enterprise environments demand hundreds of databases often with vastly different data format requirements. Getting data from one database vendor format, server and version to another is an around the clock necessity. The larger the amount of data transfered, the greater the need for import and export automation. Data imports and exports can get so large they overwhelm system resources if not properly managed and segmented, often requiring the entire process to be restarted. This version's Import and Export Tool Enhancements tackle these problems via new configurable transaction types, improved IO performance and Export AquaScript Generation.
Import
The Import Tool now provides configurable transaction types to optimize import performance and to throttle load to the database server. There are 3 transaction modes available.
IO Performance
improved read IO performance with buffered reads.
Generate AquaScript
A button to automatically generate an AquaScript which performs an import with the options chosen in the User Interface. The AquaScript can be saved and executed at a later date or scheduled for execution in Aqua Data Server.
Export
Export now allows exporting multiple tables at once into a folder, each table becoming a file within that folder. Data is now buffered during export to assist with database transactions and increasing export speed.
