1. FluidShell - SQL Shell

Aqua Data Studio 11.0 features FluidShell, an interactive database shell for all major database vendors. The FluidShell provides a combined functionality of a SQL Query Tool and a Unix-like shell. FluidShell provides functionalities such as variable substitution, command aliasing, input/output redirection, pipes and history buffers. In addition, FluidShell is integrated with Aqua Data Studio, which allows the user to connect to any database server and issue SQL Queries.

2. Editor Enhancements

All of the editors ( Text, SQL, HTML, XML, Java, JavaScript) have been upgraded to include line wrapping, an enhanced status bar, abbreviations and performance improvements.

3. Excel Exporting Enhancements

Greater control over Chart formatting, color, layout and Exporting rows.

4. Connection Pooling

Reuse established connections to preserve server resources. The Connection Pools can be managed and aren't restricted to a maximum or minimum size. Using this feature on a registered server also increases execution performance.

5. New Toolbar

The editor toolbar has been redesigned so that it dynamically lays out, letting you see all of its buttons without having to scroll.

6. Subversion 1.7 Support

You can now select 1.7 workspaces in File -> Options, and use all of Subversion 1.7's features.

7. Enhanced Git Support

More Git support, making the built-in client even more useful for Git repositories.

8. GUI - New Options Dialog

The Options dialog has been redesigned to make it easier to find the options you're looking for. It also launches and runs faster.

9. GUI - New Visual Editing

Modeless threaded dialogs for Visual Editing now display within a tabbed interface, so you can CREATE a table in one database, ALTER a table in another database and still navigate Schema Browser.

10. Updated Drivers

New drivers for Microsoft SQL Server, Sybase, IBM DB2 iSeries, Oracle and PostgreSQL. With these drivers you'll have access to more of the vendors' features, improving performance and increasing functionality.

11. SQL Server - New Datatypes

Aqua Data Studio now supports the TDS 9.0 protocol version when connecting to SQL Server. This allows ADS to extract new SQL Server datatypes in values other than Strings.
