Split Data

The Split feature offers quick and convenient extraction of relevant information from large composite strings such as a complete address. Using this feature, you can split composite data into multiple fields. In the following example, we have a column with the email address and business units combined. To separate email address from business units, all you need to do is to specify a split separator.

On applying split, Visual Analytics creates two new string fields, in addition to the original. Email / Business Unit - Split 1 contains the email address and Email / Business Unit - Split 2 contains the business unit.
