Most business workflows require the same files, databases and command-line terminals to be accessed multiple times every day. Keeping dozens or hundreds of them organized and readily available takes time that could be spent working. If these frequently-accessed scripts, SSH connections and QA environments aren't available in a few clicks, valuable time is lost as users search and browse to find them. We've introduced Shortcut Toolbar Folders to make accessing and organizing those most-used files, databases, scripts and queries even faster.
For faster access to files, servers, AquaScripts and URLs, the Aqua Data Studio IDE allows creating and grouping shortcuts into Shortcut Toolbar Folders. Organizing shortcuts into folders means an entire folder's worth of content (SSH terminals, Databases, Files, Web URLs) can be opened immediately with a single click. Items in the Shortcut Toolbar can be rearranged, deleted or have their properties altered via the Shortcut Toolbar Manager. Think of the Shortcut Toolbar as a web browser bookmark tool for Aqua Data Studio.
To create shortcuts for Database Server Connections or SSH Servers inside a folder
The Shortcut Toolbar can be managed and organized by right clicking the application toolbar and selecting Configure Shortcut Toolbar. Here a user may drag and drop shortcuts from one folder to another or create, reorder and delete folders. Individual shortcut properties can also be edited with a right click to change their names and links. By reordering shortcuts and folders, their display order in the toolbar can be changed. Altering items in the Toolbar Manager immediately alters what is displayed in the Shortcut Toolbar.

Support for shortcut folders
Folders allow grouping shortcuts for better organization. Shortcuts within a folder display as dropdown menus once the folder is "left-clicked" in the Shortcut Toolbar. How the shortcuts stack is configurable from within the Toolbar Manager.

Support for opening all shortcuts in tabs
Once several shortcuts have been placed in a folder, all of a folder's shortcuts can be opened at the same time through the use of the right-click context menu "Open all in Tabs". As an example, all of a user's PostgreSQL database connections can be grouped in a single folder and opened simultaneously in separate tabs with a single click.

You can easily add Web Hyperlinks and Files by dragging and dropping in the Folder specified in Step 3. Note that in order to add a Web Hyperlink shortcut, you will need a Web Hyperlink file stored in your file system. One easy way to create the Web Hyperlink file is as follows:
