SQL Log Capture (Revision #32)

Most relational database vendors have features to capture the SQL queries executed in the Server, but reading the logs is quite difficult as there is no GUI available. Aqua Data Studio 11.0 introduces a visual log GUI named SQL Log, to capture all SQL queries executed by Aqua Data Studio.  Having the SQL Log opened while executing queries, you can view the log data in the GUI or view it as an Excel spreadsheet. You can also save the log as a text file and open it with ADS text editor. SQL Log is a powerful tool that provides a syntax highlighter as well as support for Exceptions in queries.

Monitor SQL Statements

The SQL Log provides a way to monitor the execution of SQL statements within ADStudio. It offers one click easy access to detailed information about the executed SQL statements.

 SQL Log GUI

Aqua Data Studio 11.0 features a new Option to view the SQL log files under Help --> SQL Log

 Start Event Capture

You can start the event capture by clicking on the start icon.

 Stop Event Capture

At any point during the execution of queries in the Query Analyzer, you can stop the SQL Log capture.

 Status

Displays the status of the current SQL statements being executed.

 Time and Duration

Option to view the time of execution and the duration of the SQL statements.

 Server

Displays the Database Server Connections and the corresponding SQL statements executed.

 Username 

Displays the username with the corresponding SQL statements executed.

 Statements executed

Option to view the SQL statements executed.

 Exceptions 

Option to view the SQL exceptions.

 View as Spreadsheet 

Option to view log as spreadsheet.

 Save Log as Text file 

Option to save the log as text files.

 Clear Display

Clears the display of executed statements and exceptions.

 Filter

Filter helps you to search and find the executed SQL queries very easily.
