Multi Selection: Scripting (Revision #22)

Now, with Multi Selection, several objects can be acted upon at once with Ctrl + click or Shift + click. Right clicking on one of several objects selected now shows new Scripting choices.

Multi Selection

• Script Objects to Window As

                - Scripts selected objects to the current window

• Script Objects to New Window As

                - Scripts selected objects to a new window

• Script Objects to File As

                - Scripts selected objects to a file specified

• Compare

                 - Available for any 2 objects of type Server, Database or Schema

                 - Performs Schema Compare operation on the selected objects

• Delete

                 - Deletes selected objects

The objects don’t have to belong to the same server or be the same type of objects. If some of the objects are not scriptable, for example folders, they are skipped when the objects are being collected into the window. It helps the user to select multiple object with one click, without worrying about selecting the right objects.
