I spend my days, nights and weekends designing software with a goal to produce software that increases individual productivity and possibly make the world a better place. I've been spending a significant amount of my time lately on infrastructure testing and simulations for our online service (AquaClusters).

I've spent my career at technology startups building software products. Most of them have been in Silicon Valley, although my first was in Louisiana where I grew up and went to college. I was born in Nicaragua in the aftermath of the 1972 Managua earthquake, and immigrated to the US during the 1979 Nicaragua revolution.

My primary and only life focus is to have a positive contribution to human civilization that will last for centuries to come. Nothing big, just something that will last.

Designed, developed and supported (aka JohnLH) versions 1,2,3 & 4 of Aqua Data Studio out of my apartment in Mountain View. Hired some old and new friends to continue to building Aqua Data Studio as a product and AquaFold as a company. We moved into the PlugAndPlay Technology Center and we've continued to build a great product and company. We've assembled a fantastic team that is continuing to build new products. I initiated and designed the initial product ideas for Aqua Data Server and AquaClusters, then worked with our engineering team to build the initial product versions.

Designed, developed a secure and high performance application server for biometric financial transactions. Worked with a team to deploy a service in pilot programs for merchants in different sectors. The product was called PayByTouch. Indivos was a VC funded company which was acquired by Solidus Networks, which later renamed itself PayByTouch.
