Use the following for updating Aqua Data Server when new patches or build releases become available
If you need to Upgrade your installation, see the Upgrading section.
1. Stop the Aqua Data Server Windows service
To stop the application server launched as a service, go to Start->Control Panel->System and Security->Administrative Tools->Services and right click on the Aqua Data Server service the select Stop.
To stop the application server launched from command line instead of a service, type in the following commands
cd <INSTALLATION_HOME>\tomcat\bin <press enter>
shutdown.bat <press enter>
2. Download "http://dd1.aquafold.com/download/adserver/v14.0.0/adserver-x.x.x.war"
3. Delete the existing /Program Files/aquadataserver/aquadataserver/tomcat/webapps/ROOT.war file
4. Delete the existing /Program Files/aquadataserver/aquadataserver/tomcat/webapps/ROOT directory
5. Delete the /Program Files/aquadataserver/aquadataserver/tomcat/work directory
6. Move the adserver-x.x.x.war file into C:/Program Files/Aqua Data Server 14.0/tomcat/webapps/ and rename it to ROOT.war
7. Start the Aqua Data Server Windows service
Manually start the Application Server service by choosing Start->Control Panel->System and Security->Administrative Tools->Services and right click on the Aqua Data Server service the select Start.
To start the application from command line instead of a service, open a command prompt and type in the following commands.
cd <INSTALLATION_HOME>\tomcat\bin <press enter>
startup.bat <press enter>

sudo /etc/init.d/aquadataserver stop <press enter>
To stop the application server launched from command line instead of a service, type in the following commands
cd <INSTALLATION_HOME>/tomcat/bin <press enter>
./shutdown.sh <press enter>
2. Download "http://dd1.aquafold.com/download/adserver/v14.0.0/adserver-x.x.x.war"
3. Delete the existing /home/aquadataserver/aquadataserver/tomcat/webapps/ROOT.war file
4. Delete the existing /home/aquadataserver/aquadataserver/tomcat/webapps/ROOT directory
5. Delete the existing /home/aquadataserver/aquadataserver/tomcat/work directory
6. Move the adserver-x.x.x.war file into /home/aquadataserver/aquadataserver/tomcat/webapps/ and rename it to ROOT.war
7. Start Aqua Data Server.
To manually start the application as a service, type the command
sudo /etc/init.d/aquadataserver start <press enter>
To start the application from command line instead of a service, type in the following commands
cd <INSTALLATION_HOME>/tomcat/bin <press enter>
./startup.sh <press enter>

/Users/aquadataserver/aquadataserver/tomcat/bin/./tomcat6-osx-10-6.sh stop <press enter>
To stop the application server launched from command line instead of a service, type in the following commands
cd <INSTALLATION_HOME>/tomcat/bin <press enter>
./shutdown-osx.sh <press enter>
2. Download "http://dd1.aquafold.com/download/adserver/v14.0.0/adserver-x.x.x.war"
3. Delete the existing /Users/aquadataserver/aquadataserver/tomcat/webapps/ROOT.war file
4. Delete the existing /Users/aquadataserver/aquadataserver/tomcat/webapps/ROOT directory
5. Delete the existing /Users/aquadataserver/aquadataserver/tomcat/work directory
6. Move the adserver-x.x.x.war file into /Users/aquadataserver/aquadataserver/tomcat/webapps/ and rename it to ROOT.war
7. Start Aqua Data Server.
Manually start the Application Server as a service by using the terminal application (Applications -> Utilities -> Terminal.app).
/Users/aquadataserver/aquadataserver/tomcat/bin/./tomcat6-osx-10-6.sh start <press enter>
To start the application from command line instead of a service, open a terminal application and type in the following commands,
cd <INSTALLATION_HOME>/tomcat/bin <press enter>
./startup-osx.sh <press enter>
