6.8 Settings

The Settings tab contains Project Settings dialog that allows viewing and editing project attributes and settings. Only users with appropriate Project Permissions are able to view and edit Project Settings. In this Section:

• Edit Settings
• Change Workspace
• Upload Project Image
• Import Project Package and Deployment URL

Edit Settings

The Edit  button opens a page for editing the project attributes shown in the "Project Settings" pane.

• Project Name: The name must be unique across all projects in the system.
• Descriptor: Must be unique across all projects. Descriptor is used to form the project URL. For example, if a Project "Oracle Project" has the value "oracle db" for its "Descriptor" field, the project URL is: http://<ip address>:<port>/app/home/project/oracle+db . If the descriptor is changed any external links such as Aqua Data Studio's deploy link to the project will have to be modified.
• Category: A user-defined field for organizing projects.
• Description: A free form text entry field for describing the purpose of the project.
• Fullscreen: If this setting is enabled, only the Workspace tab will be displayed to the project users. See Basic Concepts: Project - Fullscreen Display Option for further information. 
• Public: This option enables unauthenticated access to the Workspace tab. Use this option only if you are comfortable with granting all users, including anonymous users, access to the data displayed in this project's workspace. See Basic Concepts: Project - Public for further information.

Edit Project

Change Workspace

The Change Workspace AquaScript   button allows you to specify the AquaScript that should be executed when the Workspace tab is viewed. Only a single AquaScript can be associated with the Workspace tab.

Upload Project Image

The Upload Project Image  button allows uploading an image from the user's local filesystem for display in the Project Name area above the Project tabs. The Clear Project Image  button deletes the project image.

Import Project Package and Deployment URL

The Import Project Package  button opens a file upload dialog for uploading project files from the computer file system. These are files created in Aqua Data Studio from within the Projects Browser, using the "Export" command. The export command will create a zip file containing the entire project's content. Depending on the Aqua Data Server's Settings, project package imports can include database server connection passwords saved within Aqua Data Studio. Text displays indicating whether passwords will be imported or not.

The Deploy URL link is used for providing the URL for the Aqua Data Server project. The link can be used in Aqua Data Studio for deploying projects directly to Aqua Data Server and bypassing the export project and import project steps.
