Running Aqua Data Studio without installing
Downloading the installer - The first step is to download the Windows Installer from http://www.aquafold.com/downloads.html
Unarchive the package - once the package is downloaded, extract it to a desired location.
If you've already installed a previous version of Aqua Data Studio, it is best to rename the old version so it is not overwritten
.
Aqua Data Studio will automatically detect all of the settings of your previous installation, including the license information.
Aqua Data Studio extracts to a "datastudio" directory.
To launch Aqua Data Studio using the Java Virtual Machine bundled with the application, run the following
$ ./datastudio-bundled.sh
To launch Aqua Data Studio using a preinstalled or custom Java Virtual Machine, run the following
$ ./datastudio.sh
Launching from the command line
Once it is installed, it can also be launched from the command line, using the java virtual machine pre-bundled with the application, or using the java virtual machine previously installed on the computer.
To launch Aqua Data Studio using its bundled Java Virtual Machine from the command prompt, run:
Windows XP Pro 64bit and Vista 64bit

Running Aqua Data Studio without installing - Using the ZIP (without installer) version
Download the Compressed Zip (.zip) version from http://www.aquafold.com/downloads.html
Decompress/Unarchive/Unzip Package - Next step is to decompress and unarchive the package. You need to open the package file with Winzip or Windows' built in extraction tool and decompress into a selected directory.
To launch Aqua Data Studio from the directory it has been extracted to, double click on datastudio.exe,
Just like the installed version, it is possible to run datastudio-bundled.bat to run the Java Virtual Machine bundled within Aqua Data Studio .zip version.
If you wish to run Aqua Data Studio with the Java Virtual Machine that already existed on your computer, run datastudio.bat.
