The Details View allows users to see the details of an object from the schema browser or files browser in a dockable window.
Initially, the Detail View tab is placed at the bottom edge of the application. You can click the tab to open or use the keyboard combination <CTRL+ALT+F5>
. Content displayed within the Detail View varies based on the database object, vendor and version selected. Files within the Files Browser display modification date and time when their containing directory is selected. When several objects are selected, their details can be viewed. This makes it convenient to check the offline or online status of several databases at the same time or see the modification dates on files within a directory.
A quick method of checking the status of a database is to click on a registered database server with the Detail View enabled.
For Microsoft SQL Servers, selecting a the Databases icon for a server lists the databases for that server and their status as either online or offline. For PostgreSQL, Gold colored database icons indicate currently connected databases, while gray colored database icons indicate databases present, but not currently connected.
Each of the columns can be sorted by clicking on the column headers. It is possible to sort on more than one column at once by using CTRL + Click
on the column headers.
Aggregate Functions are available, which display statistical information on values in selected cells within the Detail View. This functions identically to the Aggregate Functions available in the Grid Results.
