To execute and edit a SQL query, you have to Register a Server in Aqua Data Studio. To make sure you are using the correct database, it is always best to launch the Query Analyzer tool from the server in the Schema tree, on the left side list.
To invoke the Query Analyzer:

Within the Query Analyzer, there is a drop-down menu for picking other databases on the currently connected server. Multiple Query Analyzers can be open at the same time in different tabs or within additional free-floating Query Analyzer windows. Editing Properties of a Query Analyzer in Aqua Data Studio The properties of the Query Analyzer can be viewed and altered by selecting File > Options > Query Analyzer from the main menu. There are defaults set for the Query Analyzer in the Options Dialog, depending on the database vendor and version chosen. The preset defaults for each vendor and version have been selected based on previous user experience and supporting database documentation.
It is possible to establish a connection and invoke a Query Analyzer faster. Simply right-click on a registered server and select Query Analyzer As… Enter the Login name and Password to establish the connection. A new Query window will open, with a connection already established. |
