Aqua Data Studio 12.0 Updated Drivers

Our latest version features the software updates of available drivers for Microsoft SQL Server, Sybase, IBM DB2 iSeries, Oracle and PostgreSQL. 

Driver Updates

• jTDS 1.2.5.1 for SQL Server from jTDS 1.2.5
• jConnect for JDBC 7 for Sybase ASE, Sybase Anywhere and Sybase IQ from jConnect for JDBC 6
• jt400.jar for IBM DB2 iSeries
• ojdbc6.jar, orai18n.jar and xdb6.jar for Oracle from oracle.jar and nlscharset12.jar
• JDBC Postgresql Driver 9 from JDBC Postgresql Driver 8

Features

• Aqua Data Studio 12.0 is now bundled with jTDS 1.2.5.1, which is the most performant JDBC driver for Microsoft SQL Server. It is a complete implementation of JDBC 3.0, it passes the J2EE 1.3 certification and Hibernate test suites. jTDS supports forward-only and scrollable/updateable ResultSets, concurrent (completely independent) Statements and implementing all the DatabaseMetaData and ResultSetMetaData methods.
• The latest version of Aqua Data Studio includes jConnect for JDBC 7 which provides high performance native access to the complete family of Sybase products including Adaptive Server Enterprise, Adaptive Server Anywhere and Adaptive Server IQ.
• The latest version of Aqua Data Studio includes the updated jt400.jar.
• ojdbc6.jar - Classes for use with JDK 1.6. It contains the JDBC driver classes except classes for NLS support in Oracle Object and Collection types
  orai18n.jar - NLS classes for use with JDK 1.5, and 1.6. It contains classes for NLS support in Oracle Object and Collection types. This jar file replaces the old nls_charset jar/zip files
  xdb6.jar - To use the standard JDBC4.0 java.sql.SQLXML interface with JDBC 11.2.0.3, you need to use xdb6.jar (instead of xdb.jar) from the 11.2.0.3 distribution.
• The Postgresql driver is updated from version 8 to 9. The latest driver supports Postgresql 7.2 or newer and requires a 1.5 or newer JVM. It contains support for SSL and the javax.sql package.
