DB2 LUW Storage Manager (Revision #11)

With the DB2 Storage Manager you can now use the "Object" tab to view the storage information of table and indexes for capacity planning.

The new enhanced Object tab in displays:

• Detailed information of Tables and Indexes.
• Table Storage displays Table name, Tablespace, Type, Row Count, Index Size, Data Size, Pages Used, Cardinality, Pages Containing Row, Occupied Blocks and Created Date.
• Index storage includes Index Name, Index Type, Index Size, Clustered, Unique, Cardinality, Index Leaf Pages, Cluster Ratio, Sequential Pages and Created Date.
• Overall Object Storage information for Tablespaces. You can sort and quickly identify which Table or Index takes up more space.

Index Name: Name of the index object
Index Schema: Owner of the Index
Table Name: Name of the database object
Table Schema: Owner of the Table
Object Type: Whether Sytem or User Index
Tablespace: Name of the tablespace containing the index
Buffer Pool:Name of the Bufferpool containing the index
Index Type: Type of the index
Index Size: Size of the Index
Cardinality: The number of distinct values for a column is called index cardinality
Index Leaf Pages: Leaf pages are the lowest level index pages - the pages that contain index entries and information to the corresponding table rows
Cluster Ratio: The degree of data clustering of the index, represented as a percentage between 0 to 100
Rows: Number of rows in the index
Created On: Date on which this index was most recently analyzed
