8.3 Deploying The Project

1. Launch Aqua Data Studio and right-click on the “HelloWorld” project folder. In the drop-down menu select the “Deploy” option.

2. In the “Deploy Project” dialog, enter the project's deploy URL that you just copied from Aqua Data Server.

Use your Aqua Data Server account login and password.

After you click on the “OK” button, all AquaScripts, Server connections and User Files in HelloWorld will be copied from Aqua Data Studio to Aqua Data Server.

Any text or binary files may be placed in the "User Files" folder. AquaScripts can read, create and modify files in the “User Files” folder.

The “Servers” folder contains database connection files used in projects that involve database operations. These files include database name, database parameters and user logins and passwords required to connect to the database. Upon deploying a project from Aqua Data Studio, all server connection information will be copied to Aqua Data Server except for database passwords. Aqua Data Server users will have to reenter database passwords using the "Servers" tab in the Aqua Data Server GUI. (NOTE: database passwords and login names may be different from the Aqua Data Server login names and passwords. They are established by the database administrators of the databases used.)

3. Log in to your Aqua Data Server Account and open the “Hello World” project and click on the “AquaScripts” tab. You will see both the HelloWorld.xjs and typeHelloWorld.xjs script files.

4. Click on the “Settings” tab of the “Hello World” project window and select the “Change Workspace AquaScript” link.

5. In the “Edit Workspace” dialog select one of the two AquaScripts available.

Once an AquaScript is associated with a Workspace Aqua Data Server will automatically invoke the selected AquaScript every time a user accesses the "Workspace" tab of the "Hello World" project.
