Aqua Data Studio 10.0 introduces a SSH Environment - an interactive Unix-like command line interface. SSH is used for remote login and secure communications with remote servers over unsecured networks. The SSH interface is integrated in the IDE and utilizes all Aqua Data Studio GUI capabilities such as customized tabs, search functions, keyboard mapping, docking framework and Shortcut Toolbar shortcuts.
Aqua Data Studio 10.0 now supports Perforce - a widely used commercial version control system. With this addition Aqua Data Studio becomes a fully functional client for the top version control systems (SVN, CVS, Perforce and ...)
Aqua Data Studio 10.0 offers new features for users to perform basic distributed revision control for projects using Git. Users can now create a new Git repository and manage files or checkout remote Git projects.
Support for newer versions of Teradata, PostgreSQL, Sybase IQ, Sybase ASE, nCluster and Sybase Anywhere.
Aqua Data Studio v.10 now has options to automatically saves your workspace content and layout and reopens it exactly as you had it the next time the application is started.
The Shortcut Toolbar allows grouping shortcuts into user-created folders so that all of the shortcuts in them can be opened at once. Saved shortcuts can be quickly launched as Tabs, duplicating the behavior of web browser bookmarks and favorites.
In Aqua Data Studio v10.0 the GUI has been redesigned to implement a multithreaded architecture. This enhancement significantly improves overall GUI responsiveness and prevents application "freezing" on long or slow database transactions and operations.
Aqua Data Studio v10.0 includes an integrated Compression Tool which can compress or uncompress files and folders directly from the IDE as well as encrypt and decrypt with 128, 192 and 256 AES Encryption. The compression tool support zip, tar.gz and jar files.
Aqua Data Studio v10.0 includes an integrated fully featured Portable Document Format (PDF) Viewer.
The Import Tool has been optimized to increase data import speed with buffered disk reads and transaction control for bulk imports. It also including throttling options control the load the import may have on production servers when multiple users are accessing the server. This means that database transactions can be committed according to user settings, by number of updated records or intervals of time with Full, Batch and Threshold options.
The Export Tool now allows Exporting Multiple Tables at once into a folder with each table stored as a separate file. Disk operations now perform buffered writes during export to speed up exports on storage devices with slower speeds.
With Windows and Mac OS Shell integration, users can associate file types (.txt, .xml, .html, .pdf, .js, .sql, .xeb, .xjb, .zip) to open them in Aqua Data Studio by double-clicking on the file within the operating system.
Grid and Pivot Grid Results can be opened in Excel or Emailed as an Excel attachment directly from the results with one click..
The chart-rendering engine is enhanced with a Software Chart Renderer that allows the generation of charts on computers with low-end video cards.
Users can view and export data from Aqua Data Studio grids and pivot grids to MS Excel 2007. Data can also be saved in the .xlsx format (as well as in the older .xls format). Excel 2007 compatibility has also been included within Aqua Open API functions.
Users can edit entity and region colors on a per-entity basis, hide relationship lines, Auto-fit entities and use @ as a statement separator when generating scripts.
Perforce packages are new additions to Aqua Open APIs. More functions have been added to other packages that allow easier programming and tighter integration with Aqua Data Server.
