14. ER Model Enhancements

To design a complex Entity-Relationship (ER) Model with hundreds of entities and relationships, Data Modelers need to manually edit and rearrange each entity and organize relationships between the entities. New enhancements in Aqua Data Studio such as editable entity colors hide relationship lines, and Auto-fit entities simplify the maintenance and export of ER Models. The ER Modeler we’ve built into Aqua Data Studio is as powerful as any standalone database-diagramming tool. You may use ER Modeler to design a new database from scratch, understand and clean up a database nightmare in your office or visually understand entity relationships in existing databases to write more effective SQL queries.

Editable Entity Colors and Region Foreground Colors

The color of Table and View Entities can now be set on a per-entity basis by changing it within the Property Appearance tab. Regions now allow their text color to be altered with Foreground color selection.

Auto-Fit Entities

Selected entities can be automatically resized to fit their contents, by using the menu Edit -> Auto-Fit or the keystroke Alt+A

Hide Relationship

New enhancement to hide relationship lines between entities is introduced

Generate Script

Now there is a statement separator option for "@" just like Schema Script Generator.

 Identity Definition in ER Models

Added identity definition to entity display on ER model if it exists.
