13. Open API Enhancements (Revision #11)

With the inclusion of MS Excel 2007 support, the Aqua Open APIs have been expanded to allow access to .xlsx files and their contents. Several chart enhancements have been included to assist with the new chart options as well as several others. Below are brief descriptions of what's new for Aqua Data Studio 10.0.

New Open APIs

Save a report, or return a report as a byte array in Excel 2007 format with AQReport
Save Pivot Data and Chart, return Pivot Data as a byte array, return Pivot Data and Chart as a byte array in Excel 2007 format with AQPivotDataSet
Save Data Set, save Data Set and Chart, return Data Set as a byte array, return Data Set and Chart as byte array in Excel 2007 with AQDataSet
Establish SQL connections with password, or with provided user credentials with AQServerConnection
Create a new Excel 2007 writer with AQInputOutputFactory
Set and return HTML TITLE and META tags with AQResponse
Returns the Internet Protocol (IP) address of the client or last proxy that sent the request; Return the fully qualified name of the client or the last proxy that sent the request with AQRequest
Retrieve Java System properties for keys, and retrieve Java Environment variables with AQSystem
Retrieve and specify reply-to addresses in emails with AQMailMessage

Enhanced Open APIs

The Chart Open API has been enhanced to include all of the new features for the new Chart Types and Grid, Pivot Grid & Chart Enhancements, including:

Chart Types for Cloud and 3D Line.
Moving the Series position.
Setting Chart Opacity.
Setting the width of Grid Lines.
Displaying Axis Tick Marks.
Displaying Axis Lines.
Setting the Title Position.
Setting the Legend Position.
Performing Series Functions on a range of values.
