12. Integrated PDF Viewer (Revision #31)

For Read-Only documents, PDF (Portable Document Format) files are widely used to ensure proper printing and display across platforms. Many invoices and purchase orders generated by databases are created as PDFs. Viewing them requires a separate PDF reader. In this release we've integrated a full featured PDF Viewer, so these ubiquitous files can be opened effortlessly without having to leave the application.

How do I view PDF files in Aqua Data Studio?

Drag a PDF into the application editor pane, double click in the Files Browser/OS or choose File Open.

Change the zoom
Rotate the page
Search for content
View Annotations
Click bookmarks for outline navigation
Drag with the Text Select Tool, then copy to the clipboard
Launch web browsers from embedded URLs
Print from Print Preview

What's New?

PDF files can now be opened within the application through a fully-featured Portable Document Format viewer. Zoom, page rotation, content search, annotations, bookmarks, text selection and more actions are allowed.

With the new file associations and OS Shell Integration, the .PDF file type can be associated with Aqua Data Studio and opened from the opearating system file browser with double click. Shortcut keys to launch the viewer have been added within File->Options->Key Mappings->PDF Viewer.
